How do I know if Centime is right for my business?

We work with growing small and mid-sized businesses, with 10 to 1,000 employees. Our clients manage AP & AR, forecast (or aim to forecast) cash flow, and use QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online or Oracle NetSuite as their General Ledger application

How is Centime different from my General Ledger application?

General Ledger applications primarily aid with accounting and bookkeeping, supporting basic bill pay, invoicing and payroll capabilities. By contrast, we help businesses with working capital needs: to predict cash flows and optimize liquidity. Centime complements General Ledger applications by integrating directly with them and drawing on General Ledger data to help optimize cash flow

Why do businesses with no cash flow problems need your product?

Our survey of prospective clients suggests that proper cash flow control and management is a best practice for every business. The best run businesses have processes in place to ensure that their cash flows meet goals and expectations — not only to ensure survival, but also to manage their stated cash goals and to support strategic growth-related investments.

How can you improve my existing cash flow management process?

While many businesses understand the need to control cash flows, they do so sporadically. Managing cash flows becomes a priority at crisis points, and is resolved inconsistently with inefficient manual processes. Closing identified liquidity gaps can involve managing invoice payments and chasing late-paying clients. Centime provides a comprehensive solution to automate cash flow forecasting and provides credit and non-credit solutions to close liquidity gaps.

Is Centime secure?

Yes! We have implemented controls in line with global security standards such as PCI DSS and SOC I.

What measures are in place to secure my business data?

We are certified as a sanctioned 3rd party application by the General Ledger providers of QuickBooks and Oracle NetSuite. In addition, Centime is accredited with industry-standard security and control guidelines such as SSAE 18, and PCI. These accreditation reports can be provided to prospective clients.

What happens to my data if I end my subscription or trial?

Any data maintained by Centime that is not posted back to your General Ledger is destroyed. We do not maintain an archive of data once you end your subscription or trial.

Will you be able to access and use confidential financial information?

Only with the client’s permission. Although Centime directly integrates with the business General Ledger, employees are not automatically entitled to view and access General Ledger data. Access to client General Ledger data is controlled by a documented set of policies and procedures that limit access to a limited number of Centime customer success personnel.

Which General Ledger applications do you support?

Centime has been integrated with and supports QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online and Oracle NetSuite. These are broad market General Ledger applications with a large installed base in our initial market (clients with between 10 and 1,000 employees). Over time, we will integrate with other General Ledger applications, including solutions that target specific market verticals.

What if I don't have a supported General Ledger application?

You cannot use Centime Cash Flow Control until it is integrated with a supported General Ledger application

Why should I allow you to access my General Ledger?

Most General Ledger applications support integration APIs that are used by 3rd party applications like ours to provide value-added functions over and above those provided by the application. Examples include solutions to automate accounts payable and accounts receivable, disburse tax payments and manage payroll and employee expenses. Centime is one such application; market testing has not revealed any objections to the our proposed integration with and access to General Ledger data.

What is the Sandbox?

Do clients pay for the Sandbox?

No, the Sandbox is absolutely free. It has been created to allow you to use manufactured data to better understand how Centime can help your business.

How long may clients use the Sandbox?

You may use the Sandbox for 30 days.

Can I invite others on my team to the Sandbox?

Yes. You can add them by going to settings-->company profile -->team management

What is required to activate Centime?

To activate Centime, you will need a valid email address and mobile number to create credentials during sign-up and for verification purposes. You must use either QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop or NetSuite as your General Ledger and have admin access. You will also need to add your financial institutions, which requires login credentials to those accounts.

Can I self-onboard?

If you use QuickBooks Online, you can self-onboard. If you use QuickBooks Desktop or Netsuite, on-call guidance with our Customer Success team is required.

What are the steps to get fully up and running with Centime?

To fully onboard, you must sign up and create credentials. Then, the General Ledger and relevant financial institutions (checking accounts, credit cards, lines of credit, loans, etc) must be connected to Centime.

How long does implementing the solution take?

Clients on QuickBooks Online can self-onboard and be up and running within hours. Clients on QuickBooks Desktop and Netsuite will require on-call guidance with our Customer Success team and can be up and running within hours.

Do I have to complete onboarding all in a single day or session?

No, onboarding your General Ledger and financial institutions can be completed on separate days. However, abandoning the General Ledger connection in the middle of the process will require that you start over. We recommend completing the General Ledger connection in one session.

Are there user guides available to self-onboard?

Yes, we can provide you with user guides to help you self-onboard.

If I need help self-onboarding, can I contact Centime?

How many users can I add?

You can add as many users as needed to help manage your cash control.

Can I disconnect my General Ledger or financial institutions from Centime?

Yes, you can disconnect your General Ledger and financial institutions directly on our site. We recommend reaching out to our Customer Support team if you decide to proactively disconnect.

Can I control what each user sees and does in Centime?

Yes, you can set permissions for each user based on their roles and responsibilities within your organization.
